Let me start off by apologizing for my lack of knowledge as this is my very first Honda...
With that out of the way, I just picked up a 2015 Honda Civic Si sedan with more miles than I would have liked. However everyone says Hondas are incredibly reliable right? I 100% think I over paid for it as when getting it home and looking it over the next day I found some things I wasn't happy about... My fault of course as I didn't do my due diligence and thoroughly look over the car and I think I was jaded with all the aftermarket parts I saw (that I now want to remove) and didn't sleep on it. Previous owner was really nice and seemed up front about everything but may have not known about some of the issues I had found later on... All good though!!
Anywho! It's got about 139,xxx miles and seems to be healthy/ run great (again that's coming from someone who has never owned a Honda) and is really only here to replace my daily driver for the time being. I have always wanted a Honda Civic Si, particularly the 9th generation and in a sedan version. Plus in the red exterior color, I have just always loved the way they look!! Plans right now are to address some of the small/ big issues I have found, get the car running as reliable as possible while I finish school and just learn all about these cars/ engines and get it to the point where I'm comfortable tracking it every now and then...
Now, with that being said some changes I want to start out with is swapping out the DC Sports cat-back exhaust for possibly a stock one or something less loud/ droning. Also, the car is on BC Racing coilovers and as much as I love the ride height with the aftermarket wheels I just want something that's less 'bouncy' so I'll probably work on swapping those out for stock suspension in the near future. And of course changing all the necessary fluids to keep up with maintenance, especially the oil (there seems to be a light 'knock' at idle but less distinct when reved up?) to make sure everything is running how it should be. Now, again, I have never owned a Honda so maybe the light 'knock' is common but I just want to be sure it's not something serious... If anyone knows the ins and outs of these 9th gen Si and is in the Inland Empire I'd love to chat and get a solid opinion from you on my new purchase!!
If you have made it this far in the post then here are the pictures! As she currently sits, I do love the way this generation looks with a subtle drop and proper wheels!! It's a fun car and I'm excited to be a part of this community!!!
