I did this to my Galant. You wire tap them LED/neon you install from the heads/external to the dome light/light that fades which disarm the alarm which gives it the fading relay. It's a really simple mod if you know your car electrical circuits

yeah, i've currently done a few LEDs wired to my dome lights that fade when the doors open/close. Not looking forward to drilling through the headlights though. I'll have to reseal it very well.
