Hi guys. I have a civic coupe ex 2012 comes with the premium car system so has factory amp. I ordered an android system of amazon and i got mostly all working but no sounds. Seller and some videos said to put a wire from unit antenna blue cable (12v) or any 12v to the blue wire on harness for amp (8 pin but only 4 wires) and still no sound. Also tried from red ACC so its always on not for radio and still no sound. What else can i do to get this infernal thing working before i take it to car place.

This is a picture of wiring

AWESAFE Car Stereo Radio Android 10.0 for Honda Civic 2012, Touch Screen Radio Support Carplay Android Auto Bluetooth WiFi FM Mirror Link GPS Navigation Split Screen SWC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094QKMHY6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_ACZ3BZWN34MDXJ31GC0J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It does have a can box which im guessing is the wheel controls, like literally everything works perfect even with imid except sound.

Have you gone into the Android device sound settings to make sure the amplifier is switched on?

Also check the Android factory settings car model to CAN box type RCZ Honda Civic 2012.

I'd check the under-hood A19 20A fuse going into the amplifier at pin B3 & A13 white wire for power.

Also make sure there's no power at pin A24 brown wire for the mute signal to the amplifier.

Thanks for the advices i will check all the settings. question for the 8 pin amp the blue cable shows as - and the pink as +, i saw on amazon on another unit someone said to wire the pink to the acc for 12v and the blue to the ground somewhere...would that be the correct wiring and not 12v to blue on 8 pin?

The blue wire on the android 16-pin connector is the amplifier turn on and it should have power when the unit is active.

Here's some wiring diagrams for the Android head unit and hope this helps.

Im guessing these units pinout is diferent so no 12v is provided to tye amp, on the factory harness which one would be the amp turn on cable? Everywhete mentions as light blue cable (not mention which pin number) but on a diagram shows as white on A24

You'll want the blue wire from the 16-pin black connector on the Android head unit to trigger the amplifier on.

The White wire on Pin B3 at the amplifier should have constant power from the 20A fuse A19 and the white wire at Pin A13 is the turn on power from the stock audio unit at Pin-21.

Sorry for all the questioning , new to car stereos.

what i think is happening is either blue from android unit harness is not matching the white wire at Pin A13. some people say these units sometimes the pinout are not matching the factory harness. Assuming B3 is giving constant power from fuse A19 ( checked fuse is good ) and blue is not either giving power or matching the pins, can i just feed 12v lets say from same blue ( if indeed it does have power) or red ACC from andoird unit verified has 12v) to the white wire at Pin A13 skipping the harness plugs and that should turn on the amp?

And to confirm ping A13 white would be the remote wire.

Yes, I would verify the Android head unit is sending power to the blue wire with a multimeter when the unit is switched on because some units only have power on this wire just when the radio tuner is turned on for electric antenna purposes. Also verify this white wire to the amplifier at pin A13 to the stock audio unit connector at pin A21 is receiving a power signal from this blue wire.

Will check all that, i assume its not not since there is no audio without any modification.

all worked out perfect ty so much for the help.
I’m having the same issue. Can you walk me through what you did? I was intermittently able to get the radio to play. When I switched apps it stopped and hasn’t returned. You were mentioning a “white wire” and providing 12v to it. Where is this mysterious white wire located to turn on the amplifier? Any help is greatly appreciated!

my unit comes with a loose brown cable that matches the white cable on pin A21 (on the factory harness) but since this brown cable is loose there is no power, so wire this brown cable to red ACC (not antenna blue) so it get power for any sound and amp turns on. Pin 21 on harness is SWD+B - Output signal to amplifier on/off. Im not sure on ur unit but look on factory plug if the pin 21 or 24 whichever has this description which cables it matches on the android unit and if this cable is cut like mine

If you purchased an Android head unit for a 9th gen civic, it should have come with the CAN bus adapter box and specific wiring harness along with the dash panel kit to match the year of vehicle. This will simplify the whole operation a to an easy plug-in & play system with an interface to the vehicle for steering wheel control function. Also, be sure to specify if you have a left-hand drive or right-hand drive vehicle and if you want a matte black or glossy black finish for the dash panel kit.

The CAN bus adapter box and wiring harness is part number: HD-RZ-06 or CAB0936.

The dash panel kit is part number: MKD-F162 or HONDA0122 for the 2012 USA civics with LHD.

The dash panel kit is part number: MKD-F159 or HONDA8201 for the 2013-2015 USA civics with LHD.
