Looks good. I wish I went through CHH for my Si grill, Majestic Honda is taking forever. They said my order is "in process and will ship sometime in the middle of next week."

You know what it is they are on back order... but when i ordered the base... it came like the next day with ground shipping... the top black piece took like 3 days... there pretty close, there right in rhode island..also chris make sure you get an emblem!! as you will not be able to take your emblem off the regular grill without breaking it... i did not even attempt it but it was the same in my 08 civic.. also another 9th gen member broke his..its put in with these like pressure clamps so if you pull it youll break it...and there is no way to remove the clamps as they are circular and flat against the emblem... so youll end up having to superglue on... better off spending the extra 13 bucks...let me know wen you get it..i can help you out

I figured they're on back order. Atfer looking over your whole Si grill thread, I made sure to order the "H" emblem lol. I'll let you know if I need help once it arrives.

I also ordered a driver's side mirror skull cap with the Si grill setup. I tried the Turtle Wax Scratch Repair Kit and the end result looks terrible. Any idea how the skull cap comes off? Like everything else on the 9th generation, is it just held on by clips?

Yeah the body colored piece.

I thought maybe the screws underneath the mirror had something to do with attaching the skull cap, but they look small from the diagram.

yeah i see... i dont know thoughh... i mean with what a new cap cost..and the work.. i think its better if you just take it to a shop and have em do the side mirror over... u shouldnt have probs with paint not matching cz the car is still new so the paint is new...no fade to factor in.. honestly i dont see them charging you over 70 dollars to do that..

The cap is only $15 and it comes painted. I figured I'd try this first rather than deal with the cost of a body shop. I'll just have to fiddle with it once I get it. From looking at the diagram, it looks like it pops off. I just went out to look under the mirror, there's no screws. They must be inside.

If the sidew mirrors are like the rest of the car..id figure ur first diagnosis was right... theres prob 2 screws and then clips...remember just be gentle.. dont wanna mess anything else up
I got the skull cap off with a little muscle, but yes it just clips on.

Yeah, took me literally 3 minutes to do it lol. These cars are really held together by clips!
Hey guys...dont know how i missed this, i have seen you both post in other threads...this one just wasnt lit up i guess that new stuff was posted...

No Splashguards yet. This week is the week i can wax/polish (cans said 30 days so i didint want to rush it.) I was gonna install this past weekend, but whats another week at this point, all along i have said i want to just have them by winter. My mom is visiting from AZ this week/weekend, so that could be a delay. Saturday is looking like my best shot if i can get it done. Will post pics when its done.

Sucks about your mirror! Wish i saw this i woulda told you that YES it comes off with clips, but glad you got it sorted out and taken care of. When mine broke, i had them switch the cap to the new mirror because i didnt want to pay for the replacement i KNOW i didnt need.

I will be needing a PMM door handle in the future. Luckily its plastic so no rust worries, but my girl noticed it yesterday. She, the girl she commutes with, or someone at random hit the door handle and a piece chipped off. About a 1/4" square is missing. Already checked and its only 12 bucks to replace, but annoying! At this point im thinking of waiting until i move out of the city where the car will see less potential wear and tear for stuff like this. Just glad it was the handle and not the door - but i already have some kind of dent in the door, like a rock hit it or something:banghead:

I know Manchester is nothing like Boston, as I grew up there. I know what you mean about the wear and tear. I live on the outer east edge of Manchester where it's not city like, but there's a ton of road work going on. I have a couple small scratches around the car and a chip on the edge of my hood from flying rocks. Unfortunately there's no way around all this road work either.

I will be ordering the hood deflector soon.
ever consider the 3m clear guards for like the front bumper and hood and stuff
Thats what i got. i love it. worth the money since i plan on having the car a while...and 93/95/3 are not car-friendly at all.
Unfortunately if Chris already has a chip someplace the 3M will actually highlight it. Depending on where, how bad, or how much to fix, could still be worth it though. I had one i didn't know about right next to the grill on my bumper and it stands out to me. no one else would notice it, but i do...so again it depends on how bad it is and can it be fixed. i say overall worth every penny for years of protection!
My chip is right on the frond edge of the hood, near where the hood latch is located. It's not very big. I put some touch up paint on it and it's barely noticeable unless you look close.

Great...thats the best place, haha. that clear bra is alot of money, but i think if you plan to keep the car long term it could be the best protection. i had a blue altima and the chips that it had when i bought it, and when i traded it in, were BAD. the biggest was about 1/2"x3/4" from a rock kicking up and landing square on the hood, about 4 inches up from the latch line...I just wanted less maintenance since i see more commuting with this car than my last
Whats up guys! Just got a set of headlights to do a retrofit! found on CL, guys mother in law or w/e was in an accident and the insurance replaced the whole front end with new parts. The headlights are 98% mint. the bumper bracker for one headlight is trashed but that no big deal. clips and stuff are all in tact, no breaks/cracks are noticable, but i might find them later.

Retrofit is gonna be somewhat simple. its my first, but doubt will be my last if it goes well. Bought a kit from TRS.
Bi-xenon HID projector to replace low beam. Once i can learn the wiring i want to switch the DRL to an LED bulb, because i like the look of that. I am up in the air of angel eyes, i would only put it in the high beam, to come on with parking lights/low beam. This means i will always have a nice white light in the highbeam/DRL spot, and the projector will handle the high and low beam for driving. I will start my own thread on it once its gets started...but i dont want it filling up with other posts until im already started and can work on it some.

The final product i hope will be a cross between these two. See the Angel eye in the high beam? And im using the same shroud as the 2nd picture.

Good luck Mike! Nice find on CL. Keep us posted on your progress, I'm sure you'll do great!

I just finished installing my door visors. I love them! Up next will be the hood deflector. Once I get that, I'm probably going to take it easy on modding and parts. Unless a CAI comes out before winter's over, I'm going to be saving up for some 18" HFPs. I may also start picking away at upgrading the sound system (amp, head unit, speakers, and subs). I think one of my rear speakers is already on it's way out.

Edit: I'm also going to get the hood and trunk insulators, I just don't know when yet.
Sweet guys... any pics of the retrofits mike???

I have been taking it easy lately... im pretty happy with everything i did with the car... i just have to tint the tail lights and now just waiting on that hfp lip kit and ill be all set.....pretty much
