Hi All,

looking if anyone knows who the oem was for the ac compressor?

looking on rockauto for a replacement, they have GPD, UAC and Four Seasons.

If you PM the complete VIN on your car.
I can check on the Honda internal parts catalog
Sanden, Keihin & Hitachi were the main suppliers at the time I retired. Never heard of RMD brand, if that's what it is...
Here is the example for my '12 EX Civic
38800-R1B-A01RMCOMPRESSOR, A/C (ID 3771H, ID 3770AU) (RMD) (SANDEN) (INCLUDES CLUTCH AND COIL)

Can you run the vin range to find out who the car belongs to? For me, Vingurus always gives information about the car. Who needs a vin checker ?

Quick Google search of the ilx part number returns a denso part. As you have found, you aren't going to find one in the aftermarket.

The gdp and four seasons should work fine and are much more cost effective for a 7 year old car. The oe part lists for like $700

there still is 4 seasons reman inventory, which assuming would all be denso rebuilds.
i heard due to transportation costs remans will be a thing of the past, new only.

anyone had any luck with the 4 season remans?

It would be interesting to see what 4 seasons does for a reman.
