Tried to do the whole spray on Plasti Dip thing. I had never heard of this until I became a Honda owner.

I'm wondering about the dipping process, and if it would turn out a little better.

Here's a couple pics of the Rustoleum Auto enamel with a couple coats of clear coat over it:

FYI, I did go ahead and take the front bumper off to do the front emblems.

Enamel will be permanent. Plastidip is temporary. Mine has been plastidipped. It's been 10 months now and still holding up pretty good. With plastidip you don't need to take the emblems off. Painter's tape around the area and few news paper on some areas will do.

That white with black theme on the outside looks real good.. It's different than the red emblems everyone has.. I think it would look good if you tint the red part on the tail lights and get black rims with white lip/dish with a slight drop.. Your car would look sexy as hell.. But that's just my opinion..lol

Has anyone tried actually using the dipping process with the plastidip??

I mean buying the dipping kit and all.

Does the finish come out a little smoother than the spray?

Dipping would be too thick. I have used the stuff to dip tool handles before and it was pretty thick compared to the spray application.

Ok, thanks for the info.

I'm guessing that the emblem may not fit flush to the bumper/trunk if the plastidip was too thick.
