My daughters car has been having issues starting. She brought it over and I tested the battery. Battery is good... but I noticed the positive terminal is jacked up and loose. It will not tighten down all the way. As far as replacing it, I don't see any videos or threads discussing this. When I search the part, I get multiple parts and none really look like her battery cable. Hers is a 2014 Si. Is it a crip on terminal or do I have to replace the entire cable?

I'd recommend using a Genuine Kia Hyundai positive battery terminal part number: 91860-2F021QQK or Toyota positive battery terminal part number: 90982-05054 with an eyelet connector splice to the existing wires because the Honda terminals seem to be of very poor quality.

its a crimp on, I had an issue with mine and replace it with this one (set of two, but only needed one).

The issue was that the copper corroded and had a crack in the bottom so it wouldn't fit tight no matter how much you tightened the nut. It was easy to do just a little difficulty in taking the old one off. Also, if you replace the battery with an AGM battery next time you will never have to worry about corrosion again.

Just want to share my experience where I ended up not needing to replace it when mine kept slipping off too. The battery post is tapered, so it's easy for the terminal to slip off if it doesn't get a good grip. First I would use a terminal cleaning tool on both the terminal and post. It carves tiny horizontal grooves that will help with grip. Then make sure the terminal is loose enough to push it as far down onto the post as you can, then tighten it down. Makes a world of difference.

Just did this on a Honda Accord using the Toyota positive battery clamp.

I used Selterm brand tinned copper crimp-on eyelets for a pair of 6AWG cables and used my TEMCo TH0005 V2.0 hydraulic crimper to tightly join them to the original cable (minus the original clamp).

Odds are you won't know anybody who has that type of crimping tool, and a mech will charge you an hour of labor almost equal to the price of that tool. On that note...

I also had this issue, but I just bought a terminal cap and called it a day.
This is a common, lowest-cost and very effective solution for Honda positive battery terminal clamps.

why not put a shim (terminal cap) on the post? that diehard(er) likely has the wrong size post for the terminal connection.

also that felt crap is interfering with the clearance, and not allowing the terminal connection to go further down by a couple of millimetres.
use the noco terminal spray instead...

Shims are cheap on amazon and work wonderfully.
