I clearly don't know why I bought a new car if it's going to get all beating up like this. A rock or something when I was driving on the highway hit my car and put a good small dent on my hood of my car. The size about about half an inch big. It's small but it sticks out like a thumb because I keep my car clear and shiny like a jackass. How much do you think it would cost to repair it?

usually $250 per panel for a dent and paint. thats what ive seen in my area.
you could always go paintless dent repair and touch up paint.

Don't get down on yourself. Cars get beat up.

It doesn't really matter what we think, especially if you know you're going to have it repaired. It sort of depends where you live.

I know that near me, to have a panel repainted (including prep work) is about $400. And you cannot tell anything was done, which, to me, is important.

If you have a preferred body shop, call them and ask. I know that people I do repeat business with generally treat me fairly.
