Hi, picked up a 2015 EX sedan a few months ago. Unfortunately it only came with 1 FOB. I would like to add a second FOB for some redundancy, but not sure I want to crack out the over $350 CAD for the new fob and programming. I picked up a 2013 Accord fob for $20, and was wondering if it is compatible. I see they have different part numbers, but they are extremely similar. My local Honda dealer seems to have no interest in even attempting to program this key. Has anyone tried to have this scenario done? Thanks in advance.

I just got a 2015 EX Sedan about a little over a month ago. I only got 1 Key fob as well. Watched my co worker try to find a less expensive solution but he ended up spending more money, time and aggravation.
I got mine from Honda. Fob, emergency Key and programming for $265.00. Seemed worth it. Less worry about loosing the only fob I had. Just my opinion. Good luck.

I heard of Locksmiths being able to program key FOBs no personal experience though but might want to call around and ask will be cheaper than dealer but other than that you'll probably have to pony up $$$.
