reflash is very disapointing and discuraging
I'm disappointed in my ReFlash dyno pull. But as far as driving my car it's hella fun! The ReFlash itself is only really like $230, The additional $50 is for shipping.

The speed limiter is removed, no rev hang, better throttle response better acceleration and the can timing and fuel is adjusted. The car is definitely faster and I love how you can feel the road and it doesn't feel so electronic. There is HP gain so I can't really complain. For most people you'll get better gains then me too.

I'm just disappointed that Hondata had yet to reach out to me.

Utah,
I totally appreciate and commend your attitude toward this situation. The gains are still cool but when a company like Hondata makes the claims they've made they should have their facts straight. They should have at least emailed you prior to the web update instead of their cowardly approach. They should also realize that the reason they have a business is because of people like us. Regardless of the results, the facts are what matters when it comes to us spending our hard earned dollars. I feel that their approach was very unprofessional.

This reinforces the fact that we should always question a vendors claims and to consider how we spend our money.

Thanks. I just like being positive, optimistic and viewing the glass half full. There are still gains and the car is running great. Anyone who has got the ReFlash done would agree that the $295 was and is well worth it!

Hopefully a discount for us when Flash Pro comes out.
Just got my ECU back from Hondata Friday... As others have mentioned, it was worth the downtime & every penny. The car can best be described as 'lazy' before the reflash... It feels alive now. Everything is smoother now... Shifter/power etc... It just feels as it should. This mod should be the starting point for anyone planning any modifications to this car.

yea never got it done. the place where i used to get dyno'd when i had my ford lightning, is apparently no longer around. So i found a new place. They wanted $150 for a baseline run!!!!!!! yea..... im all set with that. $75 is my max. anything more is super rape.

But i did get the ECU back in. It definitely runs leaner at WOT. You can smell it. Feels like how it SHOULD have come from the factory. Rev hang is 95% gone. tires broke loose a little when it hit VTEC in 1st. never did that before. Feels like it just revs thru the gears quicker. I feel it was definitely worth the money just to have it running like it should.

so yea that's my story. call me a poser, call me not a real enthusiast all you want lol. i dont care. I just know ive been doing this since WAY before people upgraded their parts according to "stages" like "stage 2 clutch and a stage 3 cam" lmao. i still dont know what that means. i feel like im living in a damn video game when people talk like that.

But yup. worth the money, im satisfied. Car feels totally different. Oh and the 7600rpm redline helps.

How hard of an install is this? I am totally new to this kind of thing and am seriously thinking about getting this done. Is this like a few mins to take out and put back in? Thanks a lot.

I haven't done it, but it's probably just a matter of taking out a couple screws and detaching a couple connectors. It's just the skinny rectangular box right beside the battery and fuse box with the plastic sheath on it.
After paying, how long did it take to get the email that contained the reflash form? I ordered my reflash from corsport today, around 3pm central time, and was just curious how long it usually takes. I printed out the form from the DIY, and printed my email receipt so I have it ready to go, I might not even wait on the email that has the form.

just be patient. it should arrive tomorrow morning. shoot them an email. i ordered mine on a saturday evening, got the email Monday morning. i immediately shipped it overnight that afternoon. I had my Ecu back wednesday. pretty painless.
Cool, I assumed it would take at least a day or so, was just wondering how long it took for others. Thanks!

Hey. Your far from a poser. I won't let anybody call you that. I for sure believe that the reflash is worth it for the aspect that the car should have came from the factory that way. Stupid emissions. Im just sad about the numbers but I shouldn't get so wrapped up in that.

Don't get to wrapped up in the numbers... that's what held me back... the only regret I have now is not doing it right away!
I totally agree with your statement that the car should have came factory this way... but it didn't... this is the only option at the moment to get rid of rev hang, greatly improve drive-ablity & throttle response... worth every penny.
This plus the injen intake makes the car feel sooooo much quicker

"Feel" being the key word eh haha
got my ECU back within 24 hours of Hondata receiving it! They told me 2-3 days back log and then they take less than a day. Can't wait to feel the difference. I'm also deleting the resonator tonight after I reinstall the ECU. I don't have any baseline dyno #s but I might have to dyno it anyways.

Also they lowered the reflash price on corsport to $285.
can you drive your car without an ECU?
can you drive your car without an ECU?
Only if you ordered your car with the FFO.
