I've searched around a bit and can't really find a direct answer. Most I see is "held on by screws", which I already knew. I'm looking for a more detailed explanation as to removing it (methods, techniques, tools etc.)

The paint is starting to dull & fade so I want to remove it so I can take it to the body shop to get painted. The body shop can remove it for me but at a charge and that would also require me leaving my car with them, but I rather just drop the spoiler off. I would also like to learn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there really is a more detailed explanation. Remove the four bolts, remove the wiring for the brake light, and you're done. Should come right off. Good time to clean the trunk surface under the spoiler.

Hmm. Okay. Do you know if there's 3M tape under there too?
