Retrofit Si Unit into 2015 EX?

Howdy everyone, I’ve recently purchased a 2015 EX and I have to say I’m mildly disappointed with the audio system. In hopes to improve it; I’m curious if retrofitting a 2015 Si head unit would improve the audio quality at all, and would it be plug and play? I’m aware the Si models came with a sub, my train of thought is the additional amperage can/will improve the sound quality. I probably have the wrong idea of how this all works but figured I should ask the forum before delving into this idea any further. Thanks in advance everyone!

The head unit is useless as it's unpowered.
You'd need the amplifier under the steering column and to rewire off that to stock fostex speakers. Otherwise itd be useless.
You're better off leaving the stock unit in,and amping it and adding speakers in whatever way you please. Either 2.0 2.1 4.0 4.1 whatever you decide.

To keep things the simplest

Run a single amp with 2 coaxials in the doors, and 1 6.5 or 8" sub in it's more than likely manufacturer enclosure as they're cheap nowadays.
1 single 4 ch amp can run all of this.
You can easily do this yourself for under $300.
Skip the sub and save yourself $100.
