Hello everyone,

This question just popped in my mind, I dont know if this was discussed earlier.

Most of us know if you go to Menu and keep pressing Menu and source you get new screen and in that there is a option for Camera Screen, It means Camera program is already burnt in the Firmware of iMid..... It is just missing compatible Camera.
We also know that Dubai Version comes with Backup Camera.

so Combining both information, do you guys think if it is possible to order Backup Camera assembly from some dealer in dubai and Install it to our Civics??? as it is for Honda Civic only, it should work without any modification or Hacking iMid.

I tried to look online for dealers but not able to find any.

but I found something Interesting, I am not sure if we can use this.

It has been discussed before, but I don't think anyone could confirm that the Dubai model has the EXACT same I-MID hardware present on our USDM 9th gens. Even though they are both Civic models, don't forget Honda also makes the new CR-V with an I-MID unit as well that supports back-up camera. While we have the reverse camera baked into the software of our I-MID's, it's possible the hardware on USDM models has no input/output for an external camera despite having the feature tucked away in the menus.

You mean to tell me the I-MID on the CR-V is a nav screen on top of another nav screen?
I haven't personally been in the new 2012 CR-V's, but i'm pretty sure that's an I-MID.
