Any recommendations? I've gotten work done by InlinePro, Ptuning, Mach V, and Moore Auto. Anyone know of any other performance shops in the NOVA area (more geared towards Honda)?

What are you looking to have done?

anything small like motor mounts to forced induction, motor builds, tuning, etc. I've had good services from all the shops, but haven't really used them recently.

I'm terms of tuning, those are probably the most recognized in VA. If you need parts installed, it'll probably come down to labor costs and quality of labor. I think InlinePro is specializes in Honda, but their name has always resonated with the s2000 instead of the Civic (to me).

Yea, i'd say about 10+ years ago InlinePro was pretty good (when I had an s2000). But it seems like they have NO clue on the newer civics.

Yea, I'm just looking for quality of labor. I never had issues at Moore when I had my EVO, but was just looking for a shop or even a person that has worked on 9th gens. I used to work on my cars but just don't have time and tools anymore (I can do the basic intake, exhaust, etc).

Yea, I don't mind traveling for quality work. Have you had your car worked there?

No service work but I have purchased some parts. They are close to me so I have visited the shop.
I have chatted with John the owner at the track, they run an 11.50 index car that I have raced against a few times.

If you want parts installed, give Delta Auto in Herndon a try. They are Nissan and some other brand (I think BMW) certified, but they market themselves as an "everything" mechanic. They are family owned and I find their labor costs are affordable. A lot of the younger crowd and "car people" like to go to F3 Auto in Chantilly. I went there too, and they did a good job installing some things, but their staff is quite young, so that may put off some people. Their site (which needs to be updated, IMO) markets themselves as detailers, which they do, but they also do parts installations and general maintenance.. I went to F3 cause I had people refer me and got me a good price on labor. Just wanted to throw out some other names. None do tuning services though.

I'm surprised you went to Mach V. They are a Subaru and BMW specialized shop. I tried asking if I could get in on their alignment special, but the rep said he'd have to check with his manager cause I'm driving a Honda. No ill will, but I just never bothered going there after that.

Thanks for the info. Yea, I was planning on going to F3 auto for doing some vinyl wrapping.

As for Mach V, I went there when I had my EVO X (wasn't anything major, Moore Auto was booked). It seems like Mach V and Moore compete with each other (just conversations I would here when I was at each shop).

I wouldn't be surprised. They seem to have a lot of similar clientele (subies & BMWs).
