Why don't you get a real carbon fiber hood instead of putting a big sticker on your hood. I think it looks kinda cheap looking maybe if it was a little darker it would look ok.

Because a real carbon fiber hood is around $500, while i'm sure this vinyl wasn't near that. Looks good IMO.

You say dark grey vinyl, is it actually grey and not the black? Ive used the black and it's very dark, almost like your shop lights are washing out the image. Someone else on here did a wrap on their hood and it was darker. maybe try taking one outside.

I'm not a huge fan of the vinyl, but the appeal got me. It's inexpensive and easily removable if you change your mind or need to bring it back to stock.

 

This was great. A project done on exactly my car type. This gave me a great idea of what this would look like on my car. The wrap does seem kinda of light, but that could be partly because of flash maybe. I think doing the roof alone would be best. Ill have to keep this in mind. How much was the vinyl, and how was the install process?

 

a real deal carbon fiber hood is closer to 700$. they have carbon fiber vinyl in any color you want. It ended up being lighter than expected

 

any idea how many ft it should wrap the whole car with a 3M matte white

 

Some of the sites have kits to do entire cars and trucks, but imo it would be the biggest pain in the ass. you would be better of painting the whole thing

 

...buying a white car would seem slightly easier, no?
