Hi everyone dallkom here.
I have 2012 Civic Lx with 161000 miles on it.
I've started to feel a shudder right around 1.7 - 2.0k rpm at second gear. I don't think I feel it in any other gear but it might be mild on 3rd gear too.
Any ideas? The last time the car had trans fluid change was 100k miles so it's definitely time to do one soon, but just wondering if it could be something else too. Read somewhere that Honda had some recall on TC shudder but not sure how reliable that info is. Any input is appreciated!

Pretty much asked and answered your own question. Check your owners manual for transmission flush intervals but pretty sure 61K between flushes your way over due.

+1 on a fluid change...

usually when the transmission starts acting up start with 3x drain and fills, DW1 or Maxlife will do the trick.
put some lubergard red or platinum in for good measure after the 3rd D/F.

assuming your 2012 is not CVT (pretty sure it isn't.) otherwise follow the same 3x D/F and use dealer only fluid, and add the lubeguard cvt recharge.

I had the same problem, transmission mount fixed it.
