yes, i've searched.

today, i was cleaning all the extra wax from the creases around the weatherstripping. the interior of the car was hot, so i rolled all the windows down and opened the roof...all was fine. i started cleaning the remaining wax from the painted edges of the sunroof...and needed to get to the back of the weatherstrip on the roof itself. so, i closed the roof and tilted it. cleaned the rubber...(done this for years and hundreds of times). went to close it...and now all it will do is close but pop right back open.

tried to closing it 10-15 times....same operation...close - open. turned the car off...let it sit for 20 minutes while i searched owners manual and here to find out where the manual close screw is. i can't find it in my headliner...after the search, went back out and still doing it...and now it's raining.

any help, advice or anything?

out of warranty btw...and this is first issue i've had with this car. over 51k on in 25 months.

doesn't matter what i was trying....it was in the tilted position...and close, tilt, open...it would close and pop back open. hit the button again...close, pop open....over and over. can't slide it open....can't close it....

i thought an obstruction as well...so, i got out my plastic interior trim tools and slid the flat blade all the way around the weatherstrip as that is all i had access too. didn't help.

so...thinking maybe i did something it didn't like whilst cleaning the weatherstrip....and i was desperate...i held the button in the forward (close) position and started gently hitting the glass with my fist...and wah-lah...after about 15 'bangs'....it closed! i pulled the button back (slide open) and it opened fine. i closed it...it closed fine....and thinking all must be good, i pushed the button (tilt) it went up fine. great! right? wrong....tried to close...and back in the close, pop open again.

so, back to the banging on the roof...and it eventually closed. i haven't touched it today...as i'm going to not until i get back home and safely in the garage - calling for rain here all week.

and, when i got it to open (slide) i checked the rails...the deflector operation...all the movable parts i could physically see and touch...all were clean and free of anything.
