Hi. I have a 2012 Civic Si coupe which i've had for about a month. I don't open or tilt the sunroof often but twice in the last couple weeks when i tilted the sunroof and tried to close it, the sunroof would start to close then before it shuts it goes back up. it took about 10-20 tries of closing it before it finally shut. Now im afraid to use it, or to try and figure out whats wrong incase i can't get it to shut. I can't seem to find a manual winder and didn't see anything about it in the owners manual unless i missed it. After the first time it happened the next day i tried it about 10 times and it opened and closed each time to i figured it was ok, but it happened again today and it shut eventually. Before I take any further action I wanted to see if any other owners have experienced this problem and if so what they did, and if there is a manual winder. Thanks.

I'm not trying to sound mean but you know there are two ways t close it, push the button toward the roof, this will cause it to tilt and push it forward which should close the window, if you already did that then I say go to the dealer since it should be under warranty

The below is for the 8th gen, not sure if it works for the 9th.

TURN THE IGNITION TO THE ON POSITOIN

1. hold the open button and keep holding it until 3 seconds after the roof is open.

2. Hold the auto close button and hold until 3 seconds after the roof is closed.

System should have "re-learned" if it works.

OK it seems that if i hold the button in the closed position it will close, but i only have to touch the button for it to tilt, or for it to open and not hold it. I think what ive been doing is just pressing the close button and not holding it because it seems to be closing when i hold the button in the close position. So i may not have the problem I thought I had, I may have been the problem.
