From what I remember... The NAVI does not recognize traffic but if you know a trouble rush hour spot you can set it to avoid set streets.

I'm not sure how far it shows traffic, but I can see traffic (parallel lines to the road) while traveling, it will show those lines for traffic, either orange or red depending on how much there is. Assume that the area you're traveling in must have such info though, so likely not including local town roads... just highways and major routes.

i think the canadian navis dont have a traffic option, am i right or am i blind and didnt notice anything on my navi

If you get radio traffic info, it will be indicated by an icon on the upper left of the map screen.

^not to sound like a noob, but whats radio traffic. i dont know if thats supported in canada
