Ever since the 2015 UK Type R came out, Ive wanted to swap out the steering wheel into my 9th Civic Si cause it will be a direct fit. Unfortunately I have not been able to get my hands on it, and the only means of purchase i found was on these forums, priced at $1200. Ive tried looking on UK OEM honda parts websites, only to find they only sell up to 2011 models and nothing newer. I could not find any OEM Honda parts websites based in UK that let you go through the diagrams/catalog and view part numbers and prices. For example, i could not find the UK equivalent to majestic hondas online parts catalog.

I figured id wait til the US model came out and i would be able to easily purchase it. Too bad the US model has the steering wheel of a 10th gen and cannot be fitted to my car. But i noticed something interesting, I looked up the US model steering wheel in a parts catalog to find out the grip is only $100. They look almost identical in terms of materials and color accents i dont understand how the UK model costs almost 10x that amount.

I originally was going to post pictures and links but i havent posted enough. Anyways, was wondering if anybody could help out with ordering some parts from the UK, it is proving to be annoying af. Anybody know a source ?

EDIT: I have found a company based in the UK that sells and ships the 9th Gen Type R steering wheel grip and i have just sent payment over to them. I will be posting a thread once i get it in , most likely an install tut thread. If anybody is interested in how much and what company PM me!

Thats cool that you posted that, MDinteriors is based in my state , NJ, and i went there and showed them a pic of the type r wheel and asked if they could custom replicate it. They said it would probably cost more than to just get it. But i actually just ordered the type r wheel from the UK, will probably make a tutorial thread on the install once i get it in
