A few years ago I had put 8th gen 16" Civic wheel covers on my '12's 15" wheels. It involved a little minor surgery for the valve stems and came out pretty neat. Dremels are handy tools.

I just rotated each cover until the air stem was in an area that didn't involve a 'spoke.'

Most aluminum wheels all look 'the same' nowadays, as all cars have them.

I get all kinds of compliments on my painted shiny black wheels with actual silver Honda, say it with me now, hubcaps (not full wheel covers).

Diff'rent strokes, ya dig?

I had steel wheels on my vehicle originally and found them to transmit a lot of road nose into the cabin area when traveling at cruising speed over expansion joints. I believe steel wheels were actually a little lighter in weight, but the vehicle seems to handle better with the aluminum wheels with much improved steering response.
Don't forget about the rubber. I had found that a change in tires made a significant difference in the way my car handles and rides. I'm on my second set of Kumho Ecstas (PA31s and now PA51s) and am very happy with the handling and (lack of) noise.
