Skepticism.
That's all I had when I ordered these last year. But to my surprise these are quality machined polished aluminum pedals that each fit perfectly. Yes I had to drill a bunch of holes but I am damn satisfied with the results. More wet grip, heel-toeing had become easier and they just look amazing.
They are neither designed nor manufactured by Mugen.
Ebay! But whoever did design them was not screwing around. And for $30 if you own a MT R18, I would put this at the top of your mod list. All hardware is included. Just don't install the footrest or drill into the throttle pedal if you have a lease, the clutch and brake have rubber wraparound pads so no one will know/care.
I screwed the new footrest right into the plastic/carpet of the stock footrest. Removed the stock rubber pads from the clutch & brake pedals and drilled three holes into each of the pedals using a silver sharpie as a marker and progressively bigger drill bits to get through the tough medal. Make sure you don't drill a hole bigger than the nut. Clutch and brake go together with three nuts and bolts each. The only hiccup I had was the throttle pedal. I got the holes in just fine, but unless you have kitten sized hands and ball-jointed wrists it's impossible to get the nut onto the bolt because it's a grand canyon of plastic compartments used to reinforce the pedal itself. So I just double-sided-sticky-taped it on and put a dab of glue on the neck of the alan bolt to keep it from popping out.
Each of the pedals are solid. They don't wiggle around, rattle, slide etc.
I don't usually condone cheap-china-replica products (probably just this and my dome lights), but I highly recommend this product despite the connotations of being "fake". Yes it's falsely branded and made/shipped from china (which took forever to get here), but I assure you, you won't be dissatisfied.
