I probably should have prefixed this with late model 9th gen for a fair comparison.

So who out there bought a 2015 Civic and is regretting not waiting and who's not ? How about some of the features / design you wish your 9th gen had and vice versa:

10th gen (what you wish you had):
- Love the LED lights.
- While I haven't say in them the leather seats look more premium and potentially comfortable than 9th gen leather.
-- The white leather seats in particular look amazing (not so in the 9th gen, black was decent)
- Electronic Parking brake.
- Mirror turn signals.
- Looks (Chrome door handles / and body lining the door) !
- Wheel volume slider
- Turbo engine ! (But I'd have to try to compare)
-- Correspondingly the better drive I'd assume that'd come with it (particularly in sport mode)
- Gasless cap! Love that
- Honda Sending dynamic cruise control (not the rest)

9th gen (what you like better or features you don't really care about):
- Looks ! I actually prefer the 9th gen body styling immensely, I just find it more elegant.
-- The rims on the ex-t / touring model for the 9th gen are amazing, like them much better).
-- While I don't many parts of the 10th gen, I HATE the front gril chrome.
- Personal preference but I prefer the 2 tier dash system
- Rear heated seats (don't care).
- Android Auto (Haven't tried it out it doesn't seem much better honestly, I don't mind the navi and system in general, though I hear android auto is better for voice commands).
- Size, like many I prefer the smaller size of the civic in general and don't want to see it creep up over time.
- Dual exhausts on touring, so this sounds good but the civic design (9th and 10) make it so they're barely visible and they're a skinny tube at that anyway (i.e. don't look good), so this is just extra maintenance (I'm ignoring any actual benefits for the drive).
- Honda sensing less cruise control, from what I've heard and seen it's not great - but anyway you don't need to use it so hard to call it a con per say.
- Paint colours (at least in Canada), really like the 9th gen better here.

Toss Up:
- I'd need to see it in person but in all the videos I'm not sure what I think about the central arm rest, it seems potentially nicer in some ways but not in others.

So while I had some thoughts of trading up, I think I'm content with my 2015 9th gen.

Any other thoughts ?

You took the long way of getting there but your second to last sentence says it all.

Other thoughts:
I have a 12 EX, and while I don't recommend buying the first year of a full model change vehicle.
Some circumstances may force the purchase of said first year model, as was in my case.

That said I'm in no hurry to replace my 12 EX with a '16 or even '17 MY Civic, as I, like you, am content with my current vehicle.

I bought a 2015 Si knowing the 10th gen was about to come out. I didnt like what I saw from spy pictures and once the sedan was revealed I was happy I went with the 9th gen. I love the body styling of the 9th gen because its elegant and simplistic. I just feel like the 10th gen looks like its trying to hard to fit a certain model. Im sure the 10th gen will be an amazing car and the turbo engine option sounds like awesome fun, but im 110% happy with my 2015 Si.

haha K I get it we all have the 9th gen and love it, but I'm sure there's someeee feature you wish you had from the new car ;) Maybe I should have said pick the one thing you'd really love.

If I had to pick one I think it'd be LED lights.

I am in the minority here. I did not know there was a redesign coming out when I bought my '15ex in Aug, and I known, I would have waited. I sat in the 10th and the seats are way more comfortable to me, the interior seems more premium and it just seems like a nicer ride. I tried to trade my 15 in on a 16 but since I rolled some negative equity into the loan for the 15, I am way under water and cannot get anyone to even look at me so I have no choice but to keep my 15.

Having said that, I have no real complaints about the 15, its a nice car, I like it and it pretty much has everything I want in a car, but I love the seats in the 16's and the sensing package would be great.

Yea seats really look nice; In terms of the interior though I'm not really sure, so I have the 2015 touring (or ex-l I think its called in the US) and honestly in every pic I've seen the 2016 touring doesn't seem to have any more higher quality materials other than the seats themselves.

But I'll have to see it in person to decide.

My thoughts exactly.

Like Goodluck said, the Si is still an unknown. Si colors and interior?

The elegant style of the 9th gen sedan looks to be a classic. Trying to "improve" a classic always looks overworked.

Carplay and a manual volume control? Now that's something I'd love to have. Really.

Well we already know about both of those; No manual volume per say but there is the new touch sensitive slider that while not manual control per say seems closer to it.

Yea very curious about the SI too

Not a fan of the electronic parking brake, besides just one more item to go wrong I do not see how you can modulate it when doing a handbrake turn!
Prefer the normally aspirated 2.4 for now, have owned turbo engines but just more complexity and expense in my mind, I think the 2012-15 will be like a Miata down the road, last of the free revving engines in base or si form, but I have not tried the base 2016 engine yet. It does look as though the models have become a bit pricier at first glance.
I think we will all love the 2016 Si when it comes out, it just seems they are getting ricier as they get newer, I prefer a subtle look, really miss the 2012 low line rear trunk spoiler compared to the 2015 wing.
Overall the 2016 is a nice looking automobile, but if spending top dollars for the high ended models I may look at an Accord for the same money.

I always hear that comment about if buying a high trim just buy the next level up; I get it partly but I don't always follow the logic, I want a certain size car the Accord for example is much larger, and the base Accord doesn't have all the features (e.g. leather seating and what not) you need to go up several trim levels of the Accord to match the highest trim civic; Of course if the size / engine matter then I get it !
