The fr-s's have been getting up to around 200 whp with mods. They generally are around 155-165 whp stock.

Stock they have a nasty torque dip from 2700 to 4000 rpms give or take. They don't weigh a whole lot, so when they get up to 200 whp they're capable of a high 13 second 1/4 mile.

Weight and slightly less horsepower is equivalent to more weight and slightly more horsepower.

It's not very hard to understand. 250 less lbs makes a big difference.
I agree but these cars put their power down terribly. So I really can't see a frs with just bolt ons running a faster time than an si with bolt ons plus its not 250lb its around 100 they weigh 2700 and a si sedan weighs around 2800

MugenSi,

I took the curb weight off emunds.com which listed the same weight for the '12 and '13 sedans. I'll update the post.

I'm quite dismayed that the car gets heavier each year. The '14 models surpass the 3000 lb mark.

Glad I got the 2012 coupe, lightest of the bunch. Now slap on some Enkei 18x7.5 rpf01 plus 215/40r18 tires and claim even more loss power :D.

I think that's why Honda was forced to retune its engine for 4 more hp to overcome the gained weight.

I actually wanted to run one that was supposedly supercharged but he didn't want to because my friend/mechanic scared him off by saying he will run you on low boost lol.
