What do you guys think are some good brands of navis? I have a tomtom and it gives those most retarded directions and I need a new one, it got me lost countless times.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 255W and its been pretty accurate. There was 1 time where it brought me to the address I wanted, but there was a pond or nothing there. The actual point of destination was about 400 feet further up then what it said.
Another time it took me on a weird route that didnt make sense, but did get me there. Other then that though its been very reliable.
I love the Garmin Navi as well. But now days I just use my Google navi on my phone. If you frequently go out of a cell phone reception then I would get a stand-alone Garmin navi.
If you don't want extra clutter and you have an iPhone, you can always get the Tom Tom app, it takes up about 1.6 GB of space, but that is because it stores all the maps on your phone...so no need for a cell signal. I will admit, it sucks on the iPhone 3G, is useable on the 3GS, and superb on the iPhone 4.
There is a way to have the Google maps download to your android phone as well. Never tried it since I always have signal, but it can be done. I can track it down if anyone is interested.
Google maps comes on android phones, there should be no need to download it. Garmin makes a great product.....but i use my Android Navi on my phone, its accurate with 50 feet of my destination and even shows you a street level view of the place as your arriving
