You guys that have made the swap did you have to deal with unlocking the radio with the anti-theft code?

Edit: If others need help Honda's own tool is very helpful. MyGarage. The radio I purchased provided the donor VIN (I think you can use any US VIN that you can find on Google) and I entered the serial number from the radio sticker and got the code.

Installed 39100-T1W-A01-M1 in my 2014 Civic EX-L w/o Nav (6 speaker) yesterday and went great. Firmware update process was smooth no issues. I have it mounted with the stock radio brackets and dash for now until the 2013 bezel w/ Nav comes in.

Everything works great. With the GPS wire unplugged on the back of the radio it's working excellent when driving. I left GPS plugged in while booting the first time so the time is synced for now. I'll use the service menu trick if I ever lose power.

One super small thing I noticed is the parking guide lines on the reverse camera are in different places than the OEM radio. They're wider. If the default lines are on the inside edges of a parking space, I'd say these lines are now on the outside. This really isn't a big deal to me but wondering if there's any adjustment that can be done or if someone figured out how to fix it. It's interesting because I think the CRV has the same lines as the Civic spacing wise. The lanewatch camera lines seems the same to me, haven't really looked that one over and compared yet.

I tried this video here:

The guideline setup page has all my camera options greyed out. The spacing looks similar to OEM Civic too.

Overall very happy with how everything is working. IMO better and cheaper than an aftermarket Kenwood unit I had prior that cost 2x the price including the radio, radio brackets and 2013 Nav bezel.

2013 Civic Nav Bezel (part number for bezel: 77250-TR6-C11ZA, brackets: 77255-TR0-A00 and 77256-TR0-A00). Top right screw near radio for AC vent doesn't fit because it's a 2013 bezel. I did my best to keep it in place and get that screw snug so the vent wouldn't move when touching it. It's not lined up perfect but it's close enough. The other 2 screws are snug. The alternative is having all 3 fully tightened down but you'll see the edge of the vent a bit.

Hi guys, I'm just about 80% done with my install process. I got the CRV headunit plugged in & it operates to the screen where I have to put in the anti-theft code. Well I followed everyone's instruction where I plug in my VIN & the serial # on the CRV unit to the website MyGarage. The problem is when I hit submit, I get stuck on the next page where it says "Data Loading" - it just stays on that page. Anyone have a workaround to get the anti-theft code?

EDIT: Ok I got a code to display from the website. I just followed instructions for this old reddit forum and it worked.

EDIT2: Ok so I buttoned up everything and it works! Thank you everyone for the resource! My last hiccup during this process was trying to get the radio updated for CarPlay but I kept getting a USB error. I must have used 5 different USB flash drives formatted in Fat32, ExFat, or different bitrates but I finally tried one last step and found a solution! Instead of using the armrest USB slot, I tried the front console and it magically prompted the update & didn't give me the error. shrug Nonetheless, I wasn't satisfied with the quality of 3D print on the SLT file to fill out the gap. I'll try a 3rd party 3D-printing service for higher quality or continue my search for a 2013 trim with carbon fiber bezel. Cheers everyone!

Haven't made any progress with adjusting the guidelines on the Civic backup camera yet. I saw a Civic Si with the swap and a EX-L w/ Nav & Multi View (39530-TS8-A11 multi view and 39530-TS8-A51 single view) backup camera that looks like they retained proper line placement so I had the idea of swapping in a multi view backup camera. The Si and EX-L both offer it as on option. I have an EX-L without. The multi view backup camera looks like it has 12 pins and the single view has 6. To double check I pulled my camera connection off and was hoping to find 6 unused pins but the connector only has 6 wires/pins. So unfortunately don't think I can go that route. All CRV models with this radio had multi view cameras so that's probably why the lines are funny with the 6 pin single view.

Don't have the pinout info on the radio but my guess is you'd have to run the extra wires required and could splice something together.

I just installed my crv unit today. A couple things to note. I think I could’ve reused the old brackets from the stock radio. I tried reusing the old face plate and tried taking the new bezel off but it doesn’t fit the 2014-15 faceplate. I didn’t bother changing the vent. So that last bolt is a bit off center. You could crenel the hole to make it fit.

Idk if anyone can tell but I feel this screen is somewhat pixelated compared to the stock unit. Or it’s me since I put a newer version of CarPlay on my girls car and that has crisper images

Yeah I'm seeing more pixelations on certain screens like the 'Now Playing' screen when I'm in CarPlay. But it seems to be fine when I'm on Waze app or CarPlay menu.

I'm a bit confused on how you got your headunit to sit flush with your bezel. What faceplate are you using to mount to the bezel? I'm looking for 3D printing solutions to fill in the gap but you got a nice clean setup.
