I would second this. If it's go fast parts you want, yes...definitely get a Flashpro and an ultimate tune from Vitviper. But also consider joining a car club who hosts autcross events local to you. You'll need to have a Snell approved helmet...look to spend $150-$200...cost of membership, and cost of the event. For me this came out to about $250...and I came away with a deeper appreciation of my cars limits, and a better driving perspective all around. Every car club and autocross might be a bit different...but mine included an instructor for first timers free of charge...and that knowledge was invaluable to me. I learned a ton. Our cars have plenty of power for everyday driving imo. If you're going to drag race the car...then yes...spend money on the motor and other go fast parts. But if you want to avoid speeding tickets, and want your car to handle better...investing in a track day will let you know what it's capable of and what you need to improve on. Personally I don't plan to do anything to the engine or ECU anytime soon. For me it's just all about handling, braking, minimizing body roll. Everyone is different, and you will choose what your preference is. Wish you the best of luck with whatever path you decide to go down. And show us pictures of your mods when you get them!

The Flashpro has good reviews, and hand held tuners can definitely help. I have the Diablo Intune for the Vette and it is excellent--particularly for the tranny firming. I personally think the stock air intake is very good on the SI, so would suggest exhaust. Lots of thoughts on which one is best on the forum, but in general, better air in/better exhaust out is the best reasonably priced performance booster for any car.

You can give me $850 and I'll let you choose whoever Non Moderator/Administrator to ban for 1 week. That's the most power you'll have for your choosing.

This is a good route...I went the suspension route and I've done all this work and now my cars handling outperforms the rest of the car so now I need BBK and new rims....if you want just one mod that will give you the most benefit, the potential to be satisfied enough to need no other mods, and the potential to make your car ready for future mods I'd go with the FP and vit tune...then any future mods added you'll just need a retune for like $200 from vit because you'll already have a FP...
