You're asking to compare a $25 bulb to a $60 bulb. The piaa will obviously be better but are they over twice as better? You have to decide that for yourself. Both are good tho.
IMO PIAA for sure. They are more brighter and more yellow. I went with Nokya for my fogs cause I don't use my fogs much they are very good for the price and the color is pretty yellow.
I have Nokya yellows on my car. I always use them whenever I have my head lights are on but the other day one of the bulbs went out. Had them on the car for almost a year. Thought they would last longer.
I'm going with PIAA fogs next. Light output is a lot higher and the quality is a lot better than the Nokya's.
Believe it or not I use optik hella yellow from pepboys and they have been great! They give off a lot of light and are more gold in color than the nokya and cheaper than PIAA with the same performance
Dumb question but I assume you go yellow foglights so the light doesn't match the street light spectrum (? Sodium or Mercury) so your lights don't become invisibale like SilverBrights driving downtown correct?
Generally speaking, you go with yellow fog lights because yellow light pierces fog better than other parts of the light spectrum. That's how yellow got its reputation as a fog light. Hope that helps.

Apologies for the head tilt if the picture is sideways but here are my PIAA plasma ion yellow, no overlays. Puts down a rich yellow and are pretty bright for halogens. Cost as much as yellow hids though. I'm satisfied.
