Hello everyone :)
I recently bought a used Civic and now I am catching up on all the maintenance that hasn't been done. I bought a new fuel filter but it came without instructions and a lot of small parts. I couldn't find any information on the Internet on how to change it. Any advice?

Yeah...you won't like what you find on this topic either. E85 takes a toll on filters so let me tell you what I learned. Follow youtube videos on changing the fuel pump. NOT FUN! You will extract the fuel cage from the tank and carefully prop the tabs holding the motor. Permanently attached to the bottom of said motor will be a filter approx 2 inch diameter. I had extras that came with a grams 255 pump. I had to remove the lock ring with teeth from the old one and carve the plastic orifice of the new one with a dremmell to fit. Without a new lock ring, you can attach it and

clamp it back into the plastic pump housing.

I hope it's OK to resurrect this older thread. I got the B1 service reminder for my 2015 Civic. This includes replacing the low pressure fuel filter element. I'm guessing this is separate from the in-tank filter shown in this thread, but I can't be sure. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
