HaSport Rear Motor Mount Help

Hey guys, I’ve been doing a lot of reading in the forums and really want to get a rear motor mount for my ‘15 Civic Si but can’t come to a decision whether to buy or not as I’ve seen a ton of mixed reviews or suggestions.
My choice is the Hasport 62a(street) RMM as from the forums I’ve read it: helps with the jerking motion that tends to happen and helps shifter feel, driver experience, etc etc. you guys get the point.

My concern is the CRAZY mixed reviews of people saying the vibrations are annoying and not worth the RMM install, as well as having gone back to OEM RMM, then others praise how great it has made their driving experience and would never go back and the vibrations are not noticeable/crazy and are tolerable especially as time passes. I’ve also been seeing the common debate of innovative vs hasport and it’s starting to become a hassle so I need some advice from people with experience using hasport 62a RMM.

I know everyone has different intentions for installing a RMM but mine is for normal daily driving and occasional spirited driving as well as supporting the little mods I’ve done to my car. I am not tracking my car or racing in the streets. Would you guys say it is a truly worthy upgrade or am I better off keeping stock RMM.

I installed the 62a rear/lower mount, and then later the 62a upper mount. I've since replaced the lower with a stock OEM one, and now just have the 62a upper. The vibrations were annoying to me. Whatever you do, save the OEM if you can. In case you want to go back to stock later. I had to drop $200 to get the OEM rod, bracket, and bolts.
But yeah, you're not going to get straight answers as much as opinions. Check out this video for a scientific approach:
Perfect, thank you so much for the video too. Since you’re someone with experience of the vibration and going back to OEM rmm, how do you feel now with just the upper mount 62a? Did it help with the common jerking issue from the car? And how did the vibrations compare to stock? How does the vibration feel with the A/C on?

I recommend going with 62a Hasport, I used to have the 70a rmm and upper torque mount. I ran that set up for the almost a year and some change. You'll notice the vibration especial when idling and when the a/c kicks on. I recently ordered the 62a rmm and I prefer that over the 70a rmm since I daily the car. I have a '14 sedan w/ fbo.
So you have both upper and lower 62a now? How does that setup feel vibration wise?
I daily my car so I don’t want to hate my life driving it get me. I want to know what’s the best way to get better performance out of my car with the mods I have without destroying the enjoyability of the car lol, if that makes sense. (Not a fan of the way older cars vibrate so much)

You shouldn't have an issue with Hasport's 62a durometer.

A lot of people think of mounts as turning their car into a rattle box -- which can be true at the extreme if you swapped all 3 mounts for solid or something like the 94a.

But 62a is relatively mild. You'll have less motor flex especially from takeoff and you should notice shifting feels a bit more clear.

Ultimately NVH is pretty much down to personal preference. It's true some people are very sensitive to any increase but for the vast majority something like a 62a isn't an issue.

If you aren't experiencing downpipe rattle with your stock mount, your OEM mount is fine unless you're scratching the itch to get another upgrade and build experience.
Honestly for the most part it is me just wanting to upgrade my car lol. But I did see on forums here that it fixes the jerking issue with the car in certain scenarios, especially in parking lots where you let off throttle and the car jerks back and forth in a nasty way or letting off the throttle in general, the car has a tendency to jerk, in instances of vtec engaging too. There were some other benefits but I can’t remember at the moment.
Anyway my car has relatively low miles (42,xxx) so I’d say my mounts are in good condition still and fortunate for me, the 2.5” Rv6 downpipe doesn’t call for a RMM like the 3.0” skunk, fullrace, etc.

Yea I have both the upper and rear hasport mounts 62A. The vibrations aren’t bad at all and it really changed up the driving experience, less motor movement. Only thing I’m debating soon is upgraded engine and transmission mount, since I’m going s/c, not sure if I should get stock replacements or hasport.

The dp was instantly noticeable, as soon as I got it put into the car you could feel the power increase (although I didn’t really beat on it til after the dyno tune) and same with having the mounts on, you feel the gears change even smoother. I also have the complete kit from acuity so making shifts and all that even more crispy? insane tbh

end of the day though, I would say if I could do it over again, I’d do mounts, downpipe, exhaust, and then turbo or supercharge route, and skip the whole rbc intake manifold with cold air intake swap people do on these cars, solely because you just end up wanting more, and I feel that’s a step you can definitely skip to save $1000+ to instead go FI.

Thanks for the info. I am 100% NOT doing the whole RBC stuff. Seems like a complete waste of money haha. Horrible thing is that a supercharger/turbo kit is like MINIMUM 5k just for the kit, plus time to install, ALL the other supporting stuff to do, and then tuning it. Starts to not make sense if the car is only worth ~12kish (and lowering since its my daily) as mine stands.
i am honestly thinking of reinstalling my stock airbox instead of the DCs SRI, the only reason I really got it was for the VTEC crossover sound, but now I have the Skunk2 exhaust, I don't need the sound anymore haha, and the Acuity Curl is outrageously priced.
100% understandable
My personal view on it is that I’d rather pay the 6-7k for the turbo/supercharger route than sell this car and go to another platform and have to pay a car note of $700+ not including insurance because my obvious upgrade from this platform would be a type R (it’s always been my idea to get one after the Si).

Have never had a car note my whole life, not gonna start now lol (the stress free savings life of no car note is the best)

plus to chime in on your point of our cars only being worth 12k-17k depending on mileage and condition, there are people adding FI kits to their 90’s and 2000’s cars and running as great as the day they bought them, with no intention to sell. I have no intention of babying my car so that I can get the best value for it when I do eventually sell😂I’m riding this out til it blows or I eventually get bored of it (which I doubt will be the case if turbo/SC are installed)

p.s. this is also my daily 🤫

Exactly lol, it will likely feel like a brand new car when you go boosted, my kits coming in the mail next week so I’m hella excited for it.
I had already built the car up so all I’m missing is the supercharger kit to be installed, as well as the fuel pump which is sitting in my room, so it’ll cost me like 6k total after a dyno tune is accounted for.

Are you putting it on yourself? Or do you have a trusted shop/sibling that can help?
The Kraftwerks kit? PLEASE let me know how it goes, would be super interested to see how people are fairing with it now, as most of those posts are almost a decade old.
Are you upgrading brakes?
Sorry for the spam, just trying to map it all out for my car haha.
I’m having my mechanic install the kraftwerks kit, same for the fuel pump, naturally I would do installs myself, but this is something I will not risk DIY’ing, especially the fuel pump wiring and all of that.

The 110mm pulley and belt are sitting in my room as well, just waiting on the kit to come in since I finally ordered it yesterday. I can keep you updated, I plan to have it installed by mid to end of October, since that’s when my guy is free to take my car in. So I’ll be running 110mm pulley kraftwerks kit on e85 (i already have a flex fuel kit installed)

as for brakes, I’m planning on buying the Acura TL Brembo brake kit that DC5creations sells on their website, along with some stoptech steel brake lines, but that will be later on maybe start of next year
