HFP suspension kit on 2013 si sedan

Hello...

Has anyone on here tried to install the HFP kit from a coupe onto a sedan? I know HFP didn't make one for the sedan, but I'm wondering if they are interchangeable?

I like the HFP drop, plus it has the struts paired to the springs so there won't be a issue as to decreased shock life.

Thank you.

Yea, I've asked around and red around that it'll fit. It's just that you gotta find someone that's willing to help you install them cause most honda service dealers don't want to install it for you simply because it doesn't match the part numbers and they'll say it's the wrong thing so xyz. If you do find a dealer that would do it for you, then you might have scored a lucky jackpot. And also, I've asked the dealers about warranty for shocks and struts and they said it'll void but I'm not sure what's the reasoning behind it.

I haven't done it yet but I'm going to probably. Just that I need to find out is there a dealer near my area willing to do it and grant me a warranty. All I care about is getting a honda warranty haha. It's nice to still be under their warranty for such products they sell.

Let me start by saying that the feel of the HFP suspension feels much better than coilovers which is what I got on now. Its soo perfect for daily driving. Its a bit stiff than stock, but when taking turns, its got no body roll at all. I would of kept mines, but I wanted to drop my car more than 2". The HFP drops only an inch, which some of you are ok with.

I've had mine since July and it's settled more, I'm going to measure tomorrow. I'd give my opinion but I have all the braces and strut tower, but the body roll is gone and it handles like its on rails.

I want the HFP for my EX 2013 Coupe

Thats about 500 bucks for labor, go to a local shop and they will do it for half the rate! Dealers rape you in labor fees

I think that the SI HFP kit has different front strut bolt sizes compared to the non SI.

My labor was around 300 plus alignment, but I get warranty for the rest of my factory warranty at. Y dealer.

Adding aftermarket suspension does not void your warranty. And in this case, it's a HFP kit. I'm sure the suspension kit will last as long as it's meant to last so u shouldn't be afraid of having your warranty voided!

I've had bolt ons on previous cars of mine and taken them to the dealer. Yes they said u have aftermarket parts but then again as long as it has nothing to do with the reason you're taking the car to the dealer for it should be fine!

I have HFP on my 13 Sedan. I posted my thoughts on it in the giant HFP thread that is stickied. Paid 750 shipped and had a mechanic friend put it on for about 150. Huge improvement on handling and still a comfortable ride would be my summary. Best mod I've done to this car.

So the rear sits lower than front? I don't like that. If anything I want it the other way around.

Any more sedan pics?

Hopefully you can get an idea of my resulting drop from these pictures. It is slightly lower in the back than the front

Thanks for the pic that helps me decide. Importing the HFP kit to Canada, taxes, exchange rate, install etc etc is not cheap so I want to be 100% sure before I pull the trigger.

BTW can you comment on ride and handling especially compared to stock Si suspension thanks again.

Took this about a week ago. I've had HFP on since early October I believe. It's about .5-1.0 inch lower than stock. I compared it to my buddies 13 Si Sedan that is stock. If you're even mildly considering getting this suspension, do it. Major improvement.

Thanks for the pic that is a awesome comparo for me since my Si is PMM too. The drop is slight but definitely noticeable.
I'm looking for little tighter suspension with a bit of a drop but still something functional and reliable so I think the HFP fits the bill for me. Will probably get it done end of Feb/Mar once the crappy weather clears up. I'm also thinking of going to 225/45/17 tires to give me some more rubber and also a little more sidewall to further fill the gap.

Been doing some research on suspension upgrade for a while seems people here on 9th gen are going mainly with 3 routes

1. Lower springs (go low but running on borrow time on OEM shocks, void warranty, no aftermarket shocks/structs to pair with lower springs yet, can be custom built using Koni inserts, but $$$)
2. Coilovers (go very low but costly and void warranty)
3. HFP (do not go very low but nice upgrade compare to stock, cheaper than most quality coilovers, AND retains warranty)

I am seriously leaning towards HFP after all the readings so far, I am not a hard core stance guy and I don't track my car so it's prefect for DD and weekend warrior. Plus HFP come full assembled so everything is directly bolt on, so stock suspension are full assembled for quick swap back.

Ya keep her in 4 x 4 mode until all the snow clears. Mine has been doing good with the hfp's on in the Canadian snow so far this year.

Not much snow here in Vancouver but still going to wait it out a couple months. God the waiting is killing me lol.
