"They" say Unsprung weight is worth 4 times the weight reduction compared to weight reduction above the springs. RPF1s or Oz racing allegeritas are probably the lightest.
WedsSports are lighter something like 12 or 13lbs for 17inch rims they are crazy light but do cost more than RPF1 and OZ.
A good bang for the buck lightweight wheel is Kosei they weight about the same as RPF1 and OZ but cost less and are made in Japan quality.
Will have to check those out. Thx

I guess my concern is somewhat the straight line acceleration? anyone else notice the 0-60, 0-100, and the quarter mile are all slower with the lighter wheel?

most people read it & their 1st response is wheel spins....

if your instinct is wheel spins, your right, lighter wheels is harder to gain off the line traction due to the weight

or stickier, softer tires...
The stock tires I tried running 34PSI than went back down to the factory recommended 32PSI. Seemed to have a little better grip at 32PSI.

hey Kev, have you tried running 35psi? I've ran that pressure since day 1 and been pleased.
No I found I got better grip at lower PSI also the roads here are crappy and bouncy so I wanted softer tires to soak up more of the bumps.

Its only slower bc with lighter wheel its easier to spin tires. Therefore harder to get traction. On the pdf file thr driver commented on it. So if umaster the launch ur 60ft will be quicker and so is ur 0 -60
A good driver, who is able to keep tire spin to a necessary minimum, will achieve the best acceleration results, regardless of unsprung weight.

Reminds me of the old bicycling phrase "an ounce on the wheel is worth a pound on the frame".
