I'm getting ready to replace the stock bulbs in my headlights with a new light - the stock ones are far too cheap and yellow looking and the visibility sucks compared to what I'm used to.

Back before I had any of my 9th gens, I used to use Silverstar Ultras in my 2006 Si and 2010 EX-L and they were fantastic. The down-the-road and side visibility was exceptional (though the downside was I got flashed often with people thinking I had my brights on).

While I'm dreading replacing the headlight bulbs on the 9th gen (its far more work from what the manual suggests than the 8th gen), I need to do something as the stock bulbs aren't cutting it for me.

Does anyone have experience with the zXe bulbs vs the Ultras? I suppose I could always go with the Ultras given I've used them before and loved them, but I have to admit the idea of a bluer light sounds appealing...

I've ended up having pretty good life out of the Silverstar Ultra in my 2013 Si sedan.

First pair (high and low) lasted well over a year and a half and only just recently burnt out on one side (low beam).

Replaced them with another set. I swear they are brighter than they used to be. It's disconcerting the number of people who flash their high beams at me. Walked up to it in s dark parking lot and was seriously blinded by how bright they were.
