I've finally got my lazy ass to do a build thread :)
Here's my civic when I first got it.

That looks sick! Where did you get the boot from? How hard was the install? I'd be very interested in doing this

Sorry for all the posts guys, had pictures on multiple phones lol

Last pic... For now.
Mods to come would be some eibach pro line springs and other suspension components upgraded, 20% tint all around, pdipping all the chrome, 8000k headlights, p2r tbs, and Once a tuning software is available ill go turbo.

Looks good! Kona is a cool color. Why the hood spacer though?

I definitely want to do that, although it was a small safety issue.
I changed the knob in my last auto and I had to disengage the solenoid that clicks when the brakes are applied and the rod going down the shaft that was operated by the push button so I'd be able to shift.

Should've taken pics as I was removing it but it's pretty straight forward.
I used a flat head screw driver and broke the black housing around the trigger but that pops forward.
The silver plastic part of the knob slides off, just gently pry it on both sides and push down.

Once that's done there's 2 screws holding the knob in place, loosen those and the knob comes right off.

Once that's done you can start popping the middle area off, pretty easy task.
Now the trickier part was locating the solenoid that locks the ignition and keys and disabling that.

That tiny gray piece is the switch you need to flip up and keep it like that, I secured it up with zip ties but use whatever you like.
Once I got that done, it was time to put the new knob on.

That white rod needs to stay down, my knob was a universal one so I pushed it down and tightened the set screws till it didn't move.
With that rod down you're bypassing the trigger you press to move the shifter, and no more braking to move from P to other gears so please be careful.
They do make these adapters for autos where you push down on whatever shifter you got and it acts as the trigger, if I remember correctly, yo speed makes them.
Now for that gear selection part, I removed that sliding black piece that follows the shifters shaft *it was getting stuck and making me unable to move the shifter* but kept the rest of the assembly to hold the boot in place.
After that just reassemble things all should be good.

Scotty, that little gray switch is the one I zip tied to disengage the key lock.
The 3rd picture is the bar that needs to stay up by having the custom knob push down on the shaft it's attached to.
Last pic is just the override "switch" if the sifter ever gets stuck, took it out to have extra room to work.
