do any of the models come stock with a backup camera? if so maybe they can tell us what this screen is for

I try to look up at the back of the IMID from the driver's floor for any connector to reverse camera, but all i can see is only middle part of the imid box.. ^^

So it shows those backup lines but all black on the screen?

Did you see those 2012 CRVs non-navi, they have standard back-up camera and use it's IMID as their monitor for it.

the UAE 9thgen civics have been using the imid as a backup camera
I am sorry,i am really newbie in here. Can you tell me what UAE means?
And if they are able to use the imid as a backup camera, will there be possibility for us 9thgen users to hookup our camera to imid also?

Europe version car. Hmm wonder why we didn't get a lot of these items

go to MENU, then press and hold MENU and SOURCE for few seconds
This is awesome! How did you figure out this combination ?
The other day my friend was showing me their brand new CRV (no Navi) it has iMid screen and the backup camera has the same screen with the yellow lines:) I can't wait to check out if my Civic has this screen too!

I couldn't wait. I had to go out to my car, it seems I have it too (2012 hybrid with Navi, there are other screens too... Interesting that when you keep pressing the Source button that red dot keeps moving to different parts of the screen... I wonder what's that for.

Even the Civic selling in China is way better than the ones selling in Canada and USA (8-way power driver, 4 way power passenger, turn signal on mirror, auto-dim rear view mirror, HID, etc.)...Are the American people being so cheap on cars?

The exact same I-MID's software version is probably shared between the USDM & the UAE Civic, so it would make sense to have the camera mode baked into the platform Honda uses.

Physically, the parts are also definitely different between our Civics and the ones in Dubai. I wouldn't doubt that the UAE I-MID units are different too, with a connector input for a camera whereas ours seemingly don't have one.
