Ive also put some plastidip on the tail lights. I dont like it but I think Ill leave it on the lower reflectors because they darkened up pretty nice.

I really just dont like the texture of plastidip. Feels gross.

Alot of Civic guys trying to get rid of the chrome and your adding chrome lol.
Not to step on anybodys toes but I've never been a fan of plastidip but to each their own of course.
I like my wheels white. I am okay with that but as for the tail lights sht must go. Probably be peeling it off tonight when I get home.
Everything I have attempted to plastidip I have been upset with. Even the wheels get dirty crazy fast because of the textured finish.
Can't wait to get new wheels maybe a year from now then I wont have ANY plastidip on my car... chances are Ill tear it off my wheels before than.

And as for the chrome comment I know I laugh at that constantly. For the civics honestly I can understand it. A lot of people buying them want quick little tuner cars. Where as for me I picked up the ILX for a luxury car so I really enjoy the chrome. Im not all about chrome but I love how it looks on a luxury car in the proper amount.

Not recent shot of the rear but I took the plastidip off the tail lights. I left it on the bottom reflectors though. I think it looks good. Can't notice the plastidip much but it is enough to entirely make the reflectors almost non existent in comparison to the red tails.

The more pictures I take of my car the happier I get with how it sits.
I want coilovers but more just so I have a one piece set up verse the stock shocks and aftermarket springs.
In due time.

First I want to due some small stuff like interior wraps and roof vinyl.
Some custom door sills and some JP interior VIP stuff.

But I need to get my finances squared away. Less than two months and I should be in the clear.
Also have a review today. Going to tell them I deserve a pretty hefty wage. Ive got some numbers from warehouses in the area and what other employees are making. I feel confident I should get a good raise.. fingers crossed.

I swear if you keep posting pics of your ILX I'm gonna trade my car in.

Hold onto your SI a little longer until the ILX is revamped. Rumor has is all Acura models will have a SH-AWD system come 2016 and the ILX may see the same engine the TLX is running as well as those Jewel Eyes.

The AWD really makes the ILX a competitor. Slap a turbo on it and itll run with STIs.

Picture of the rear on my lunch.
Love the darker reflectors. Chrome pops a little more now.

Can't wait to have a gloss black roof and match the rear window spoiler as well.
I really need a deck lid. Everybody else is going with the more aggressive oem spoiler but I think this hybrid ILX spoiler with chrome accent would be perfect. More VIP less Si. Only $175 before installation.

And I want this lower front grill chrome inserts from the Hybrid ILX... Only about $30 each side I believe for both... both picture I got in my color. Love the chrome on PMM.

These inserts would be more of a DIY project. They fit perfect but they dont allow for ANY air flow. I plan on cutting the plastic above the chrome on the passenger side.
On the driver side Ill be picking up some spectre air ducting to route right to the lower grill. I'll connect a velocity stack straight to the grill insert and make the opening just large enough for the opening.

Thanks for the kind words!

Ive done the black on the grill. Liked it for a little while until my little brother told me it looked more expensive brushed metal and looked like plastic when it was black.

I tore it off that day because I had to agree. haha

I like the chrome. I feel it makes the car look more luxurious in the right amounts.

Kev and I were just laughing at the fact that most civic and even ILX owners are covering the chrome black where as I went and added more on the reflectors. lol

The chrome front and back doesn't bother me, if I could get rid of it in a good way I would but I'm not a fan of plastidipping at all.

I wouldn't suggest plasti dipping it. I myself don't think it looks the best. That's why I used vinyl but if he did black chrome it would look sick. Either way love seeing the ILX get modded

Black chrome would look good! Turning all the chrome to a black chrome would look GREAT in my opinion. That would just cost some money.

Thank you my friends!!

I am going to redo the wheels soon in white but this time add a few coats of pearl on top.

But first I need another set of spacers and I really want a black vinyl roof.

Taking my front tint off this week at some point due to another ticket. I believe I already mentioned it. This is tint ticket 2 so I will be leaving the tint off this time as to avoid a 3rd strike on the same offense.

I am okay with this though because I have been looking at a lot of VIP builds and noticed the tint is sparingly used.
I may in the future go with a light tint up front but I am still skeptical because I know any tint can be ticketed here in Cali.
