Should've taken pics as I was removing it but it's pretty straight forward.
I used a flat head screw driver and broke the black housing around the trigger but that pops forward.
The silver plastic part of the knob slides off, just gently pry it on both sides and push down.

Once that's done there's 2 screws holding the knob in place, loosen those and the knob comes right off.

Once that's done you can start popping the middle area off, pretty easy task.
Now the trickier part was locating the solenoid that locks the ignition and keys and disabling that.

That tiny gray piece is the switch you need to flip up and keep it like that, I secured it up with zip ties but use whatever you like.
Once I got that done, it was time to put the new knob on.

That white rod needs to stay down, my knob was a universal one so I pushed it down and tightened the set screws till it didn't move.
With that rod down you're bypassing the trigger you press to move the shifter, and no more braking to move from P to other gears so please be careful.
They do make these adapters for autos where you push down on whatever shifter you got and it acts as the trigger, if I remember correctly, yo speed makes them.
Now for that gear selection part, I removed that sliding black piece that follows the shifters shaft *it was getting stuck and making me unable to move the shifter* but kept the rest of the assembly to hold the boot in place.
After that just reassemble things all should be good.

Scotty, that little gray switch is the one I zip tied to disengage the key lock.
The 3rd picture is the bar that needs to stay up by having the custom knob push down on the shaft it's attached to.
Last pic is just the override "switch" if the sifter ever gets stuck, took it out to have extra room to work.

Sounds throaty! How does the engine run with the bolt on mods and no tune? I wanna do intake and cai, but i dont want the engine run like crap due to no FP

Actually runs perfect, No problems at all.
You won't really notice any gain or loss, if you really pay attention you might notice a slight change in power at higher speeds but it's very minute.
Used to have a neat set up for a cold air

Of course without fp it was pretty much useless so I switched to the sri for the sound.
For the exhaust area, modding that will, in my experience, make you lose torque and power so I really wouldn't bother with it till a tuner comes out.
My setup currently is a catless dp (which btw throws a code, very annoying) stock sized piping, stock secondary muffler and my fart can lol.
For the intake, if you want to go cheap I could do another DIY for you on how to piece one together and have it run right because when I did mine I had some trouble even running for a minute till I figured out the problem >.<
Or of course you could spend a few hundred on a real intake haha.

So sri is better for sound in comparison to the cai? Yeah if i will lose a little bit of tq by getting a custom exhaust without a tune, than i might wait for fp then, cuz my car is slow enough as it is with the 18s on haha

With a Cai, since it's further away, you won't really hear it but with and Sri, it's right there by the firewall so it's much easier to hear.
You won't be missing out on much by waiting, the exhaust on r18s don't sound that good anyways lol

Are there any sri's that will clear the hood? I dont want hood spacers haha, but ive heard some decent exhausts on r18s, just need a good custom setup with some engine bolt ons. I like how your car sounds, doesnt sound like an obnoxius fart can lol
