Thanks! I did drop it. 1.5" front, 1" back with an eibach pro-kit. I guess I didn´t want to go too low cause, well, certain Panama streets can surprise you with random potholes.

 

Yeah, I like them. Makes me want to get some red ones. I painted my calipers red, but I actually like the look of the covers.

 

I was getting ready to bash reading the title, but I actually like them! Not to oversized like other ones that pretend to be big brakes

I had them on my SI for a few months, then I got to where I didn't like them anymore and sold them. But they look good on your car

 

The covers look good (i was ready to flame the holy S#it out of you) but......if you ever get heavy on the braking you could melt the plastic. As for looks i give it a solid 9 but make sure to come back to us with an update after a month or so.

I got them from the MGP website (calipercovers.com). They're made from airplane-grade (or so they claim) aluminum, so no danger of melting or anything like that. They're stuck on pretty snugly, and it should be a breeze to remove them. I can actually reach inside the rims and attach/detach them easily without removing the wheels.

They're really not too big. About the size of the calipers.

How do they fit on? Do you just push them in?

 

They come with clamps that hook to the caliper and then you screw on the covers. They fit pretty snugly.

 

I like them but like mentioned plastic could melt.

They're made out of aerospace-grade aluminum - so there's no danger of melting :eusa_dance:

 

I think caliper covers are stupid but those look really good. Props.

 

This is MY opinion. They look like crap. This is as bad as painting rear drum brakes. Come on guys really?

I'll fall in with the 'reading the thread title made me roll my eyes' group, but they actually look pretty good. What's nice about them, aside from what has already been mentioned, is that the calipers themselves should stay clean, and if the covers need to be cleaned, they can be removed to do so.

The alternative, of course, is to just paint your calipers, which would've been cheaper, not to mention more genuine.

 

I lika the paint idea better.

I would personally paint my calipers before I invested time and money on caliper covers. They are just not that aesthetically pleasing to me, especially the rear. To each their own and that is what makes the world go round! lol

It's a decal that I bought on Ebay.
What I did is paint my calliper.
Put on the decal and then spray a clear coat on it to protect it.
