Wheel Advice For 2015 Si

Hi,

I currently have a 2015 Si and I'm looking at some different wheels to shave some weight off the OEM setup. The manufacturer is Canadian and the wheels are flow formed FAST FC04. They are 18x8 and come in both 30mm and 40mm offsets. I'm going with stock size 225 40 18 tires. From my use of the search button, I think that both options will fit. Is this the case? I really don't want the tires to stick out past the fenders. Having very limited experience with rims, which would you recommend in terms of fitment and appearance for my Si? Thanks in advance.

Yeah go with +40. +30 will poke out a little bit.

Thanks so much for both of your replies. According to the wheel manufacturer, the 40mm offset rim will work but the centre cap wont fit because of the way the SI hub protrudes. This has lead me to abandon this rim option. The new option that I've found is a Konig Oversteer which is an 18x8 and my options are a 35mm or 45mm offset. Would the 45mm still be the better option in this case? Again, I really appreciate the advice. Choosing wheels has been way harder than I thought.

+45 would be more of a stock fit/look. +35 will be more flush but not enough to poke out. I would go +35 IMHO more flush looks better. Also center caps are not a big deal you can probably find something aftermarket that properly fits.

205/40R17 on RPF1's 17x8 +45mm?

I'm planning on buying RPf1's for my civic next week and was wondering if 205/40 R17 will fit my 2013 coupe. My older brother is giving me his set of Yokohama S Drive tires and I was wondering if it'll be a good fit on the wheel and on my car. And also is 45mm offset gonna fit as well?

From your username, I assume you have an LX? If so, stock tire size is 205/55/16. So no, 205/40/17 would not be good for your car. They are too small.
What width rfp1 are you Getting? This will affect the offset choice and proper tire selection.

You need to find out the specs on the wheels such as wheel width and offset before somebody can properly recommend you some taller fitting tires. Specs usually can be found on the inside of the wheel somewhere along the wheel well.

Wondering about certain set up

What's going on guys, I'm looking at throwing on a new pair of wheels on my 13 si (avid 1 av06s) but not sure if I will have clearance issues since I'm going from stock 17x7 to 17x8 and same stock tire setup. I could really use the help before I just shell out money.

Fitment Issues SOS

Hey guys so I recently just bought 17x9 +30 mb battles for my fg4. I wanted a meaty functional set up so I threw on some 235/45 r17's on. By the pictures, the wheels and tires look spot on. BUT, i'm getting terrible rubbing issues even with rolled fenders.

I need advice. I'm running eibach pro springs and I've seen before that with coilovers, you have dampening settings and can adjust the stiffness. But should I run smaller tires with a stretch? Or switch over to coils?

And if you do suggest coils, what brand?

Pretty aggressive wheel and tire combo. Could you consider a 235/40 instead? It wouldnt be stretched and the shorter height should help your rubbing. May not be enough though.
What about a higher offset wheel?

Camber arms for the rear, I suggest dorman 521-872, and camber bolts for the front then get an alignment with lots of negative camber. I suggest going that route cause your wheel/tire combo looks so sick and would be a shame if you decide to go on the stretch tire look.

Definitely considered the 235/40 but I still don't think it's enough. I've been looking for these exact wheels so i'm just trying to make it work.

I'll consider the camber arms but I daily this car and I know i'm gonna rip through those tires easily if I go with lots of negative camber
